The diverse economy includes farming, ranching, a regional hospital and other health services, a state university, professional and retail businesses, manufacturing and the railroad industry.
Havre is a people friendly community with a variety of recreational opportunities. The Bear Paw Mountains are 20 miles south with fishing, hiking, camping, winter skiing and snowmobiling for year round fun. Fresno Reservoir is 15 miles west for all your summer water recreation and winter ice fishing. Golf, softball, basketball, volleyball, bowling and trap shooting adult recreation leagues are also available.
